Glad it is over!

Christmas was wonderful again for the Altfather's family but I am glad it is over! Santa was good to everyone and the kids all got too much! I don't know why we do buy buy when they really don't play with everything they get?????? We have done our visiting that we do and now we are waiting for New Years Eve!! Darian was born on Dec.30 and my daughter is a NewYears baby! I can't believe she is turning the big 40!!! yes I have a daughter named Carrie that will be 40 on Jan.1...

Oh I have to tell you all I got a antique sewing machine from freecycle!! the girl posted she had a sewing machine and she wasn't gonna use it and usually I just read the posts and never answer but I am tickled I did! My hubby picked it up and brought it in and I was shocked to see it was a old black Singer Machine!!! YippeÜ

It feels great to be crafting again! I have started making Valentine items and I am working on a new pattern too. I will post some of them next time when I finish them.

Happy New Years to all of my friends!

Christmas is almost here!

Are you all done with the hustle and bustle of Christmas? Baking done? I am done except for wrapping the little ones gifts. I do it the easy way...I give the parents money to go and buy toys, or clothes for the grandkids! They have so much stuff already and I have no clue what to buy them so it works out perfectly! I don't miss going to the store and looking at something and wondering if they would want this or headache shopping for me!
I am done with decorating, each year it seems I put out less and less! No I am not a scrooge LOL it only sounds that way!
I love my trees I do put up. There are three of them and 2 of them are decorated with 8 years of Primmarts ornie swaps! Love Love Love them! The tree in my living room is a Tall Pencil tree and I couldn't even get the whole thing in a picture, but I took sections of the tree so you could see some of the precious ornaments.

Here is a picture too of my mantel,

Have a Merry Christmas and remember that Jesus is the Reason for the Season!

Yea! I am done with my shows !!

Jumping up and down here! I am all done for this year with craft shows! They were all down this year in sales but I still did pretty good for the economy being so bad around here! I am gonna take a break till Christmas is over and then start crafting again for my spring showsÜ.
Thanksgiving Day was super! I cooked for the whole family (16) and we all ate till we were stuffed, then friday they all came back and we ate again! Can you believe I still have a little bit of left overs yet!
5 of my grandkids stayed over Saturday night to go to church with us on Sunday, and I just laid them all out on the floor in a row. Here is picture of them all sleeping, they look so innocent like little angels!

They are all growing up so darn fast, We were blessed with triplets and 4 days after they were born we were blessed with another grandbaby, so 4 of them are the same age (6) and the one on the end is 4.!

I am so excited about these little snowmen I created! I brought these little trinket boxes and wondered what I was gonna do with them and then I got inspired!! All weekend I have been making snowmen ornies and didn't really like them because something was missing, then I glanced at the little boxes I brought and I knew what these little snowmen needed. I changed them a little and put them on top of these boxes and then my creative juices went from there! I have so many ideas running through my head on what to place in their hands but I wanted to show you some now that I made.

So what do you think?
I am just about done writing up the pattern too so I will post that too when I am done.
The Snowmen are listed on etsy.

New Items and a Freebie!

Been crafting all week again and I have never been so pleased as I am now with how my new little mice have turned out! There is alot of detail in them and now I am really hooked on little mice!
I am also making little reindeer for my upcoming craftshow. They were pretty good sellers last year for me and they are fast to do. I added a loop on them for a ornie and they really looked nice on a tree, something differant other then the normal ornie decorations. Iam placing the pattern here for a freebie!

I will be listing these on my etsy shop check them out!

A Long Time!

I can't believe I haven't updated my blog for awhile!
I was sick for over a month and still have signs of a cough and was getting ready for a big craft show here, which turned out to be disapointing:(. The weather was terrible, it rained all day and was so bitter cold that the turn out was really low. Hubby thinks that for the amount of people that did show up we did okay but I wasn't happy with the sells at all. Oh well I have other shows coming up that I don't have to work as hard to get ready.
My MIL passed away too Oct.5th so you can see why I haven't posted in awhile.
I am working on a new free pattern to post so keep checking back:)

Attitude Dolls

Don't they have the cutest faces? Each one has their own personality! I did a craft show this past weekend and had 1 with me and she sold instantly and I had people coming back into the booth later that had seen her and wanting to buy one, so I took orders!
I am still busy crafting for Seven Springs Autumnfeast, I have a good bit of inventory already and now I am wondering how I am gonna pack and get it all there! Last year my hubby packed the truck and there wasn't a spot left in there that wasn't filled, I even held a basket full of ornies for a hour the whole way there! Thank heavens I came home with alot less.
I am fighting a cold too and feel like crap but got to keep trying to fight this cause I have more crafting to do!!

Scarecrows and Dolls

Finally got around to taken pictures of items I have been working on. These scarecrows always sell great for me this time of the year, and what I like best about them is that have batting in between the muslin and you don't have to stuff them, they are really fast to make. They fit nicely between the front door and a screen door. The dolls arestained darker than they look and I really like the CandyAnnies! they are a design from You are special, I may have to keep one of them.

School started today for the triplets. I can't believe they are in first grade already! I remember when they were tiny and now look at them!

Perfect Drying Weather!

Woke up this morning and it was so blazing hot outside that I decided to stain some muslin and some dolls I am working on. They were all dry within 15 minutes in the hot sun! you can't beat that! Sometimes when I dry items in the oven it takes a little bit more than 15 minutes!
I now have naked dolls sitting on my dining room table waiting to get dressed. I will post pictures of them when I get them done!
I have a question for all of you, hopefully I will get some feedback. When You make a Mammy what shade of paint to you like? I just painted a Mammy using dk. brown and I am loving the color. Leave me a comment on what shade you like your dolls painted with.
Well have a nice day and I will be back with pictures of some of my projects I am working on.

Craft Show was great!

We had a beautiful weekend over the 4th of July. My craft show on Saturday was great! The economy wasn't effective at Big Bear Lake W.V. I was really surprized and thrilledÜ My son and I made poppers for kids and we sold out of them now we have to sit and make some more to be ready for the next show! My purses sold well, and wreaths and electric candles were selling good too.

I had a house full spending the weekend and we cooked over the open fire barbecue chicken, cheeseburgers, and mountain pies. The grandkids played all day and saturday night right before the fireworks 2 of them actually fell asleep sitting on our laps and missed everything.

Painting my Bedroom

I started painting yesterday my bedroom and thought today I could finish it but with 5 grandkids here today that is impossible! Oh well tomorrow is another day, hopefully I can get it done! I will post pictures when I have it finished.
My BIL had surgery again and they removed all of his toes on his right foot. He is doing pretty good managing the pain and we are told he still needs more surgery but will go first to a nursing house for physical therapy.
My son and I are making poppers for kids for July 4th to sell at the flea-craft market at our camp. We have 56 started. They sell like hot cakes and the kids love them. I had to take a break from now making Santa ornies but will go back to them after the poppers are finished and my painting is done in my bedroom.
Well got to go see what my grandkids are into so I hope everyone has a nice day.

I am still here!

Wow what a crazy two weeks have been. My BIL is in the hospital with Pherivial Artery Disease all through him! He has had 1 surgery already, they put a plastic vein in his upper right leg, trying to get the blood down to his foot. He has gangrene in his toes and will lose all of his toes. I have been trying to be here for support for my sister and John. Knowing he has more surgery to go through is hard please I ask you all to pray for him.
I am still crafting in between the days that I don't go down to the hospital. My Melting snowmen I was working on turned out so nice!
I have 5 of these guys done. My neighbors all think I am crazy cause I had them all out in the sun to dry and it was 86 degrees out!

I also made some dollies using Cindy's pattern The cupcake dolls.
These are pretty good sellers for me and I think they are adorable! I will have them listed on my website soon Http:// so if you are interested check them out!

Busy Crafting!

I have been busy making Snowmen!! I am not trying to rush the season but I have some really big shows coming up in the fall and winter that I thought I better get to making some items now so I am not flippin out the closer it gets to the dates of my shows! I will post some pictures of my snowmen as soon as I get them all assembled together.

I also designed a new dolly and I named her Sweet Kelle. I love how she turned out! She is about 20 inches tall. I needled felted her hair on and gave her big brown eyes. I have to sit and make up a pattern yet for her. I always seem to procrasinate on doing that but it has been a few months since I came out with a new pattern so I better not procrasinate too long!

Nice long weekend!

I am off to our camp for a nice long weekend! We have a camp at Big Bear Lake in West Virginia. Hopefully the weather will be nice. I am setting up at the flea market there with some of my crafts and I usually do well there.

All of my family camps there too and when they are all there it can get hectic! 7 Grandkids running around and dogs barking it sure isn't quiet...but I wouldn't want it any other way! Family is really important to me.
Sitting around the campfire cooking hot dogs, marshmellows, and mountain pies (yummy) Here I come!!

Hope everyone has a nice safe weekend! Enjoy your Memorial Day!

Primmart Convention!

Thanks girls for helping me set up my blog !

I had a wonderful time this past weekend at Primmarts convention seeing old friends and meeting new girls! We shopped till we dropped in Lancaster Pa. and we didn't even get to all of the primitives and antiques stores! It would take more than a weekend to go through all of the great stores there and I really want to go back someday to shop till I drop again!!

Here is a picture of all of the girls at the convention
