I lost a dear friend this week to cancer. RIP Kathy.
I met Kathy in 2006 at PrimMarts 1st year convention. Everyone that came that year was nervous about meeting each other since we only really knew each other through a forum on the web! We all have web sites hosted by Shelly of PrimMart. Kathy and her Mom Maggie, sat at my table and I was so glad and we hit it off instantly! We were just about the oldest girls there! We talked, shopped, and crafted together all weekend . The friendship grew and it just seemed like we knew each other forever. I am so thankful to have met her and I will miss e-mailing back and forth to each other .I pray that God has his loving arms around her and she is now not suffering .
Love ya Kathy and will miss you and will see you again in Heaven.
I have friends I met from forums over the years and about five of us have visited each other and emailed for about 20 years now, much like you and kathy have. I can understand how close you felt with the daitly or weekly contact and sharing you had over the years...she was like losing a sister. My deepest sympathy.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this post about Kathy. I, too, had been in a forum with her and her mom, Maggie. Likewise, I had the pleasure of meeting them in person at a craft show near their hometown(The BPW Barn Sale in Camden, AR).
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear of her death. I knew she had cancer and had prayed for her often, but I had not heard from either lately. I will continue to keep her family in my prayers and hope to see again in Heaven.
